By selecting the option in ‘Who can see my last seen except My contacts’, you can decide who gets information about your being online and who is not. At the same time, for online status, the company is giving the option of ‘Everyone’ and ‘Same as last seen’.
In ‘Last Seen’, users will get four options – ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’, ‘My Contact Except’ and ‘Nobody’ to hide their last seen.
It can be seen in the screenshot that users can change the setting of their online status by going to the last seen and online option. WABetaInfo, a website that tracks the latest updates of WhatsApp, has also shared a screenshot of this new feature. The users will get this option in the Last seen and online option given in the privacy section of WhatsApp settings.
